Buzzbaits are the most effective topwater bass fishing lures in existence.  If you want to improve the quantity or quality of your catch, then inline Buzzbaits certainly deserve a spot in every angler’s arsenal.

There are three categories for BuzzBait:

  • Inline buzzers— A more compact buzzbait style. inline buzzers are most effective when you’re unable to retrieve a traditional offset-style buzzbait through the heavier cover. These lures have a more subtle “whirring” sound and paddle through topped-out grass with very little effort.
  • Clackers— When the water’s surface tension is broken due to wind or current, a clacker-style buzzbait is a perfect choice, They make a very distinctive sound as the blade strikes against the lure. These buzzbaits are usually retrieved faster than other buzzbait styles.”
  • Squealers— Designed for slower, stealthier presentations, squealer-style buzzbaits are at their best when fished around bare banks and sparse vegetation. The high-pitched sound is created by the friction between the revolving blade and another component of the lure, most often a rivet. If you’re targeting inactive bass with a slower retrieve speed, these buzzbaits are a solid starting point.
