There are simple ways that they can do to attract lots of sunfish and bluegills next to our dock or shoreline.

Here are the items you need: Stale old bread/buns/rolls, oatmeal, eggshells

The first thing that they can do is take out bread and crumble it up in to small pieces. Put it in a bag and head down to the lake. Sprinkle it sparingly in to the water. This will attract some fish that are in the area. Do not drop in too much into the water as you are feeding them and in the event you feed them much they won’t be hungry for your bait.

The next thing to do in the event you do not have any bread around is to sprinkle oatmeal in to the water. Sunfish are curious creatures and will come and try to eat the oatmeal. So not overfeed as they will again will be full to eat your bait.

The last and most effective means is to crush up egg shells and sprinkle them in the water. You can sprinkle them in every 30 minutes and never need to worry about them eating them, because they don’t like them, but the sparkle from the light hitting them attracts fish from all over the area. Have fun catching sunfish and bluegill!
